ABSTRACT
Aims : The aim of this study was to examine the effects sericin on diabetic cognitive impairment (DCI) in rats based neuroinflammation. Methods: SD were firstly fed with high sugar and fat diet for 4 weeks, then injected 50 mg/kg streptozotocin intraperitoneally establish a model. randomly divided into 3 groups treated distilled water (n=10), 500 (n =10) 1000 (n=20) sericin, respectively, by gavage once day 8 weeks. Before end trail, 10 group μg EX527 (a SIRT1 inhibitor) lateral ventricles every other 5 times. Results: Treated significantly reduced fasting blood glucose, improved DCI rats. Sericin inhibited neuroinflammation, expression NLRP3, TXNIP proteins cell apoptosis, while increased protein hippocampus After inhibiting EX527, above effect weakened. Conclusions: These results indicated that may block progression TXNIP/NLRP3 neuroinflammation neuronal apoptosis though SIRT1.
