ABSTRACT
Vertebral fractures associated with ankylosing spinal disorders pose significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Notably, the ankylosed spine remains in ankylosis after fracture treatment, underlying susceptibility to further still remains. Nevertheless, information is scarce literature concerning patients who have multiple episodes of vertebral fractures.Case 1 involves an 83-year-old male patient diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (ankylosis from C2 L4) had three fractures. The first episode involved a C5-C6 extension-type fracture, which was treated posterior segmental screw instrumentation. Five years later, sustained three-column at L1 vertebra following another fall. managed percutaneous One year two months postoperatively, fell again refracture healed fracture. hard brace, healed. Case 2 76-year-old female spondylitis C7 L2) episodes. At episode, she suffered paraplegia due T8 laminectomy recovered well all hardware removed 10 postoperatively. fall L1. underwent required revision surgery right pediclectomy for persistent inguinal pain. one-year follow-up, well, healed. The abovementioned cases show that age older than 75 long cervical lumbar may serve as risk factors repetition disorders.
