ABSTRACT
Securing the quality and purposefulness competitiveness of education is one most topical issues in contemporary society.It can be achieved if there are competent competitive teachers.The society requires that every individual, including prospective teachers, use their abilities, knowledge skills, persistent, able to work achieve goals under conditions high levels stress changing environment, act prudently maintain life activity.The present article constitutes a multi-aspect theoretical empirical study, analysis evaluation university students -prospective teachers with regard to: 1) direction personality, needs motives activity; 2) teachers' preparedness for professional 3) specialists, areas where experience basis competitiveness, 4) as well self-directed learning career self-management.The aim results research, evaluating from various aspects.The research was based on methods survey reflection.There used questionnaire.The sample included 108 first-year second-year University Latvia enrolled different teacher programmes.During data processing obtained statistically significant.Results show need promoting choose aware possibilities them.The formation process studies key opportunities develop students' self-regulation skills promote development self-confidence selfesteem.Regarding purposefulness, it very important perceive personally significant them.In such way, they selfexperience becomes relevant do not them.
