Participation Patterns of Exercise among People with Disabilities in South Korea : Emphasis on 2014 and 2017 Survey Data

ABSTRACT
Background/Objectives: Although many studies have reported that physical activity (PA) and exercise significant positive effects on various health aspects, very few classified persons by their disability types investigated PA participation patterns, along with obstacle factors.This study aimed to analyze compare patterns factors classifying a large sample of Koreans types.Methods/Statistical analysis: Data regular barriers were collected in 2014 2017 from 11,815 disabilities (ages 0-99 years) residing South Korea.A chi-square test was used examine differences the subjects' evaluation status, weekly frequency, preferred place, reasons for non-participation.A repeated measures ANOVA performed comparing time per session, post-hoc analysis confirm based types.Findings: The showed significantly different response rates type subjective participation, non-participation, place (p<.001).Conversely, difference between not statistically (p>.05).Improvements/Applications: In conclusion, regardless types, rate people lower than healthy adults Korea.Additionally, this is basic confirming obstacles differ depending disability.Accordingly, future public policies should closely identify characteristics each help promote all.
