ABSTRACT
Using data from a longitudinal study in Alameda County, California, this paper examines the relevance of individual deficit and institutional resource frameworks understanding homeless-domicile transitions female family heads, single women men. The employs two analytic strategies. First, by pooling three groups, we examine extent to which variables derived account for cross-group differences transitions. Second, conducting separate analyses subgroups, explore whether effects factors vary according homeless individuals' gender status.
