&lt;p dir="ltr"&gt;Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is a large, urban tertiary care pediatric hospital that receives referrals from southern California. CHLA provides to ~1,800 children and youth with type 1 diabetes. The patient population diverse in terms of race/ethnicity socioeconomic status (58% publicly insured; 26% identify as White, 3% Asian, 5% Black, 30% Hispanic). English Spanish are the most common spoken languages at home (85 12%, respectively).&lt;/p&gt;
