ABSTRACT
<p dir="ltr"><a href="" target="_blank">Resolving metabolic heterogeneity in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) gives them access to precision medicine.</a> Despite ethnic diversity pathophysiological processes individuals T2DM, studies on subtypes of related clinical characteristics Asians are insufficient. This study aims identify patterns middle-aged T2DM Republic Korea (Korea) and determine the incidence diabetes-related complications according patterns. We analyzed 6,603 aged 30 64 who visited three centers general hospital Korea. Three were derived: Obesity Hypertension pattern (OH-P), Liver Function-related HyperGlycemia (LFHG-P), Decreased Kidney Function (DKF-P). The highest tertile OH-P score was associated an increased risk peripheral vascular disease compared lowest (HR = 1.26, 95% CI 1.02-1.57). LFHG-P myocardial infarction 1.79, 1.13-2.82) atrial fibrillation 1.54, 1.07-2.23). No association found DKF-P. suggests need for proper management treatment T2DM.</p>
