ABSTRACT
This paper will present the first module of an advanced set metadata and knowledge management tools to record a "Digital Lab Notebook" (DLN), equivalent traditional scientist's lab notebook. The DLN:Capture Context (DLN:CC) tool describes means context photographic data capture. is designed for broad use across computational photography technologies. DLN:CC has already been implemented Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) implementation photogrammetry underway. collection organization contextual highly automated, facilitating during time image captured processed, rather than afterward. project adds ISO-standard compliant metadata, which establishes provenance imaging subject's digital surrogate. sequences DLN contain all information needed generate and/or regenerate advanced, image-based 2D 3D surrogates, such as or photogrammetry's models with texture. also provides each surrogate scientific account their generation.
