ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: The role of robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) in the management renal masses has exponentially grown over past 10 years. Nevertheless, data on long term outcomes procedure remains limited. Herein we report oncological and functional patients who underwent RAPN for a malignant mass with median follow-up 7 years, longest to date.METHODS: A retrospective analysis an international multicenter database was performed. All consecutive undergoing surgery between 2009 2013 minimum 3-year complete function were included. Demographics, surgical perioperative analyzed. Overall survival (OS), disease-free (DFS), cancer-specific (CSS) evaluated using Kaplan-Meier analysis.RESULTS: Overall, our study cohort composed eighty-five 88 months. Median clinical tumor size 3 cm, mostly (74.1%) stage T1a, RENAL score 6. Final histopathologic revealed clear cell RCC 76.5% cases. PSM present seven (8.2%). Eleven overall deaths (12.9%) occurred during period. Two these (2.33%) attributed metastatic RCC. OS, CSS, DFS rates 91.7%, 97.7%, 91.7% at 84 months, respectively. Regarding outcomes, seventeen (20.1%) presented CKD upstaging cohort.CONCLUSIONS: Our findings show excellent 7-year oncologic procedure, which duplicate those achieved historical series open laparoscopic surgery.
