Influence of nutritional and oral hygiene habits on oral health in Croatian island children of school age.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this cross-sectional (analytical) study was to investigate the influence nutritional and hygienic habits on oral health in children.There were 143 children aged six thirteen years attending primary school Blato, Croatia who participated study. Children divided into groups according age younger (6-9 old, n=82) older (10-13 n=61): gender males (n=53) females (n=90). conducted by using a questionnaire clinical dental examination. Decayed-missed-filled tooth index (DMFT) plaque calculated. For comparison continuous variables, Mann-Whitney U test used, ?2-test compare category variables. level statistical significance set at p <0.05.Results showed although hygiene similar. Oral same habits.
