The perception of waste management of hikers at Bulusaraung mountain area of Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park

ABSTRACT
Waste management in tourist destinations is a serious problem because of its non-biodegradable nature and the volume waste produced each year continues to increase along with increasing number visitors area. The existence climbing activities Bulusaraung Mountains area has an impact on that arises due hikers This study aims examine effectiveness Mountains, Bantimurung-Bulusaraung National Park (South Sulawesi), Indonesia from perspective hikers, survey was conducted 100 focus their perceptions, attitudes awareness using set questionnaires. Additionally, observations were made regarding implementation hiking procedures applied by A correlation analysis determined relationship between socio-demographic factors hikers' perspectives Mountains. results, which underscore importance this study, indicated held positive attitudes, efforts implemented Bantimurung Park. Age education positively influenced hikersperception, attitude, towards management. In addition, significant found age (p = 0.05).
