Discourse Function Classification and Lexicalization Analysis of a Response Marker ‘可不是(kebushi)’ Using Dramas

The purpose of this study is to classify the discourse response function marker ‘可不是(kebushi)’ and examine lexicalization process mechanism until it used as a marker. In study, analysis was conducted using dramas both preceding following utterances response.BR This examined by dividing into positive negative responses. A has functions consent, confirmation, feedback, courtesy. First, ‘consent’ most important ‘可不是(kebushi)’. utterance, speaker’s subjective opinion presented, respondent expresses complete agreement for with Second, utterance can ask other person question modal or counter-question, ‘confirmation’ whether not true.
