ABSTRACT
SUMMARY Zinc deficiency was diagnosed in 2 flocks of sheep and a herd goats. Alopecia eating wool were observed. Skin lesions hyperkeratosis parakeratosis. Abnormal hoof growth closed stance with arched back bowed hindlimbs seen. Anorexia, depression, foot soreness diminished quickly after zinc supplementation. healed hair resumed. A cause for the could not be established.
