ABSTRACT
Trichosporon beigelii is widely distributed in nature and classically associated with white piedra, a mycosis that may involve the hair of human body. Intramammary infections caused by T be fatal cows; prevalence affected dairy herds high. Affected cows have hyperthermia, swelling udder, substantially decreased milk production or agalactia. yeast, including beigelii, also high bacterial counts bulk-tank milk.
