ABSTRACT
Abstract The majority of roads in most countries are two-lane highways. These lanes quickly reach their capacity and must be upgraded on a regular basis. To do so, we first determine the street. primary objective this study was to effect carriageway width, radius horizontal curve, gradients Passenger Car Unit (PCU) values as well undivided Highways, more importantly, develop multiple linear regression model highway when all these factors present, which has not been previously reported. Green shield’s used estimate each element for thirty-six sections using flow speed data. Different models were built analysis independently, combined developed result. It noted that with proportionate increases width there is an equivalent rise PCU capacity, providing improved comfort safety road users. also discovered value gradient cause increase but decreases, thereby increasing vehicle operating cost. Where characteristics present simultaneously section, resulting proven appropriate. believed valuable practitioners development or revision Indian manuals.
