ABSTRACT
Abstract The article deals with the contamination of soil in vicinity D1 motorway caused by application chemical de-icing agents winter. In selected area, during a period one year (from October 2017 to 2018), samples were regularly collected once month at five different distances from road. Chloride concentrations aqueous extracts monitored and degree toxicity was established for living organisms. resulting chloride load evaluated respect precipitation activity amount salt applied area. highest chlorides found distance 2 m At 20 road, concentration approaching referential background set locality. first three measured road corresponded quantity recorded relevant months. maximum reached April 2018. Ecotoxicological testing did not confirm any significant From tested organisms, white mustard identified be most sensitive this type toxicity; increased observed only d I (0 m) II (1 m), thus, it could have been related period.
