ABSTRACT
Abstract National Centre for Nuclear Research, NCBJ is one of the biggest research institutes in Poland, which scientists deal with basic various fields subatomic physics, development nuclear technologies and practical applications physics methods, including those medicine radiotherapy. operates only Polish reactor MARIA, around a Reactor Laboratory Biomedical RLBR has been built last 4 years. One main aims team to adapt H2 channel, eight MARIA’s horizontal channels, specific irradiation facility delivering high flux thermal/epithermal neutron beam. The beam derived from channel will be tool biological, physical material studies Boron Neutron Capture Therapy, BNCT. While focused on building facility, scientific community expressed its interest BNCT implementation as an alternative therapy cancer treatment. Through working group meetings organized form regular workshops since 2015, it led establishment national consortium dedicated Consortium Therapy agreement was initially signed by twelve institutions institutes, universities oncological centres October 2019. Research appointed leader consortium. A year later enlarged two more institutions.
