We, the Soil and Water Conservation Society ("Society"), maintain that natural resources are a nation's heritage. Soil, water, wildlife, other ecosystem must be protected for future generations. Over decades of research deliberations researchers, educators, practitioners, has identified developed following principles conservation on private lands. This paper is commentary working lands 2018 Farm Bill not meant to an exhaustive synthesis all held by Society. Here we describe eight soil, inform farm bill discussions guide development review agricultural policies funding.
