ABSTRACT

The principle aim of this paper is to study the crowd-induced vertical dynamic responses complex and flexible footbridges. Stochastic crowd flow real traffic conditions modelled with Monte-Carlo method a numerical integration-based algorithm for structural vibration under excitation developed. Based on footbridge complicated modes, acceleration are obtained, probabilistic characteristics peak being further studied. The calculation results indicate that random response has lognormal distribution, which average value proportional increase density pacing frequency coherence. stochastic loading analysis provided can be valuable reference in assessment towards footbridges types.
