ABSTRACT
The goal of this work was to build and evaluate a multilayer perceptron (MLP) based model forecast O3 NO2 hourly levels in real-time up eight hours ahead the Bilbao area. Two MLP models were designed: MLP1 MLP2 model. Current historical values meteorological variables, traffic concentrations seasonal input variables used determine models. These data measured several stations Bilbao, from 1993 1994. performance each evaluated using statistics Model Validation Kit it compared with persistance observed values. This showed that model, able provide better forecastings.
