ABSTRACT
The apple is attacked by a significant number of insect pests in Brazilian commercial orchards, including Bonagota salubricola and Grapholita molesta (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae). Sexual disruption B. G. was evaluated orchard using the flowable pheromone formulations, SPLAT Grafo+Bona (SG+B), Attract Kill (SAKG+B), compared with standard insecticides used for management Integrated Apple Production (IAP) system. Both formulations were applied at rate 1kg/ha on October 10, 2005 December 13, 300 1000 point sources/ha SG+B SAKG+B, respectively experimental units 7 ha. Adult male captures weekly Delta traps specific synthetic sex from to February 14, 2006. Damage fruits November 21 21, 2005, January 25 In treated reduction observed males caught unit IAP. harvest ranged 1.63 4.75% no differences between treatments, while damage near zero all units. Mating SAKG+B sufficient control results equivalent IAP guidelines. This technology promising both orchards immediate 43% insecticide applications.
