ABSTRACT
The instability of the motion layer fertilizer particle influences precision and accuracy amount application in working process fluted-roller applicator. characteristics were investigated, a systematic scheme was proposed for designing structures fertilizer-filling cavity, surface fertilizer-delivery cavity. key parameters structure studied by discrete element method. It figured out that to ensure smooth operation applicator, angle 105°, fertilizer-contact should be large than 100°, fertilizer-resistance smaller 35°. Moreover, stability morphology investigated verify design. results showed when roll rotational speed larger 120 deg/s, compared with conventional design CV reduced from 1.5%-3.5% 0.5%-1.0%, discharge improved square correlation coefficient between 0.999. deduced are via eliminating driving enhancing stable filling conveying forced layer.
