ABSTRACT
The recent outbreak of corona virus and coronavirus disease (COVID-19) caused by the SARS-CoV-2 is a global concern. Despite efforts to clarify physiology potential therapy, specific guidelines for treatment COVID-19 have yet be established, many therapeutic options are under investigation. Accumulating evidence suggests that dysregulation iron homeostasis contributes significantly pathogenesis through its toxic effects formation reactive oxygen species (ROS). This review focuses on summarizing available literature relevant studies conducted date possible chelation therapy in disease. Scientific databases (PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar) were searched articles using following keywords: COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, coronavirus, clinical management, chelators/chelation. Research articles, reviews, research letters, case reports, commentaries considered. Although there ample beneficial chelators as adjuvant further this topic needed.
