ABSTRACT
Since 1997, IOC-UNESCO has been developing and applying the concepts of coastal marine management planning, as part its institutional strategy. The conclusions first international conference on spatial planning (MSP) in 2006 led to publication step-by-step guide support IOC-UNESCO’s Member States development plans. European Commission committed themselves 2017 promote MSP at global level through a roadmap (MSProadmap) open all countries world. Ibero-American are active beneficiaries this MSPglobal Initiative, pilot cases Western Mediterranean Southeast Pacific. objective is implementation actions advance national processes considering transboundary aspects favor exchange cooperation regional level. This article puts into context present future joint work States, line with commitments objectives Agenda 2030 Ocean Decade (2021-2030).
