ABSTRACT
We are currently witnessing a mass extinction event. In this context, behavior and cognition research can play vital role in our efforts to conserve biodiversity. However, on threatened species also poses additional challenges for maintaining rigorous reproducibility standards. identify four main barriers carrying out replication studies: resource availability, publication bias, regulatory constraints, social factors. argue that all exacerbated when the focus is species, they likely persist future. Considering this, we suggest researchers develop systematic approach prioritize studies where possible significantly improve both knowledge of its conservation. Where not an option, provide several recommendations aimed at ensuring integrity species.
