Nutrition and food are one of the most complex aspects human lives, being influenced by biochemical, psychological, social cultural factors. The Western diet is prototype modern dietary pattern mainly characterized intake large amounts red meat, dairy products, refined grains sugar. Large scientific evidence positively correlate to acne, obesity, diabetes, heart disease cancer, so-called "diseases civilization". pathophysiological common ground all these pathologies IGF-1 mTORC pathways, which will be disscussed further in this paper.
