ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to compare external load, calculated by an accelerometer training load model, the number and intensity accelerations decelerations, acceleration:deceleration ratio between playing positions during basketball matches. Twelve elite male players (mean±SD, age: 25.5±5.2 years; (range: 19-36 years); body height 201.4±8.6 cm; mass: 98.4±12.6 kg) were monitored two official An model decelerations used assess physical demands imposed on players. Magnitude-based inferences effect sizes (ES) possible differences positions: point guards (PG), shooting (SG), small forwards (SF), power (PF) centers (C). Elite in all presented higher maximal than (ES=2.70 6.87) whereas moderate (ES=0.54 3.12). Furthermore, (>3 m∙s-2) significantly lower perimeter (PG SG) PF C (ES=1.03 2.21). Finally, had lowest total (ES=0.67 1.18). These data allow us enlarge knowledge matches information could be planning programs
