ABSTRACT
Most existing game analysis attempts do not consider situational context information sufficiently for the assessments of tactical behaviour. The purpose this case study was to apply a new approach, so far only used 1-versus-1 analyses in soccer, small-sided games and identify analyse therewith efficiency patterns 3-versus-2 play. Therefore, 279 games, performed by an elite youth soccer team, were recorded video position tracking system. data processed including unsupervised machine learning routines artificial intelligence methods. Two crucial moments occurring specific game: T0 (time instant shot) T1 last action before shot). For both typical patterns, considering spatio-temporal situations found. By combining moments, hidden strategies identified their efficiencies calculated. most significant result is that offence have highest scoring probability when played via wings near goal line final pass, shot, given against playing direction into centre field.
