ABSTRACT
Two-dimensional (2D) MoB metal borides (MoB MBene) have attracted much attention due to their fascinating properties and functional applications. So far, work on the synthesis of 2D nanosheets by acid or alkaline etching MoAlB has not been very successful. It proposed that MBene may be fabricated chemical a Mo2AlB2 precursor, but further investigations were performed possibly difficult preparation metastable compound at high temperatures solid-state reactions. Here, we report successful deintercalation Al from through ZnCl2 molten salt approach relatively low temperatures. The influence temperature, time, starting mixtures formation desirable phases investigated. A pure was synthesized below 600 ℃, while obtained 700 ℃ MoAlB. In addition, present confirms can prepared as-synthesized precursor in LiF–HCl solution. Our demonstrates is an effective method prepare MBene.
