ABSTRACT
Nowadays, research focusing on robotics, autonomous vehicles, and scene analysis shows a clear need for the ability to accurately reconstruct three-dimensional environments. One of methods allowing conduct such reconstruction is use set cameras image processing techniques. This passive method. Despite being, in general, less accurate than its active counterparts, it offers significant advantages numerous applications which systems cannot be deployed due limited performance. paper provides theoretical accuracy estimating 3D positions objects present at given scene, based images from cameras. The assumes known geometrical configuration camera system. important limiting factor considered scenario physical resolution sensors - especially case that are supposed work real time, with high FPS rate, as high-resolution difficult circumstances. In paper, influence geometric arrangement studied conclusions about potential three-camera configurations drawn. performed formulas derived help predict boundary values any system using digital camera. results an experiment confirm presented well.
