ABSTRACT
Aims:Despite the legal regulations, there is an increase in consumption of cigarette and other tobacco products.Therefore, we aimed to examine use addiction rates products, especially cigarettes, among students Vocational School Health, who will be members health professionals future. Methods:The study was planned as a cross-sectional with face-to-face survey.From total 913 technician from 9 programs University Health Sciences, Services, 277 were selected by simple randomization.The personal sociodemographic characteristics students, status using frequency degree dependence measured.Dependence level measured Fagerstrom Nicotine Dependence Test.Results:84.5% between ages 18-20, 74% female students.The average smoking rate 22.7% (female: 16.5%, male: 40.2%).The water pipe 25.7% 17.5%, 58.1%) non-smoking students.Most started stated that they influence their friends (76.1%), 52.4% indicated did not think about quitting smoking.Conclusions:In our study, it determined amongst young people become healthcare future, frequencies water-pipe are high.
