ABSTRACT
Optical endoscopy has become an essential diagnostic and therapeutic approach in modern biomedicine for directly observing organs tissues deep inside the human body, enabling non-invasive, rapid diagnosis treatment. fiber is highly competitive among various endoscopic imaging techniques due to its high flexibility, compact structure, excellent resolution, resistance electromagnetic interference. Over past decade, endoscopes based on a single multimode optical (MMF) have attracted widespread research interest their potential significantly reduce footprint of enhance capabilities. In comparison with other principles MMF endoscopes, scanning method wavefront shaping technique developed provides benefits including contrast, broad applicability complex scenarios, good compatibility well-established modalities. this review, technical routes achieve light focusing through procedures conduct are introduced. The advancements performance enhancements, integrations modalities applications summarized. Challenges specific technology analyzed, remedies avenues future developments discussed.
