ABSTRACT
The Health promoting hospital (HPH) initiative applied setting-based strategies to promote health gains for patients, staff, communities and organizations.Taiwan's HPH movement emerged in 2002 as "healthy hospitals" Healthy Taipei City Project.In 2006, Taiwan established the first network Asia grew beyond 160 members 10 years.During 2010 2015, Taiwanese government mainstreamed a tool healthcare delivery reform universal by settings with set of comprehensive enabling policies.HPH underwent diversification proliferation into different priority issues across life course.Such partnership between governments facilitated achievements ambitious population targets.After 2016, new consolidated standards rules were launched.The size slightly dropped 142 members, but number age-friendly services 450 expansion public centers long-term care institutions.Published studies showed that membership was associated hospitals' participation promotion projects, higher breastfeeding rate, cancer screening lower prevalence workplace violence, physical activity among staff.Insights recommendations based on Taiwan's experience are provided.
