In his address to the people, First President of our country, emphasized need introduce innovative methods treating socially significant diseases. Among these diseases, diabetes holds a special position. More than 14,000 new cases mellitus are officially detected annually in Kazakhstan.The real picture disease is difficult compare with data. This review discusses prevalence type 2 among population Republic Kazakhstan, and causing factors such as age, race, genetic predisposition (OR = 3), obesity, glucose level total cholesterol etc.It was found that main complications concomitant diseases residents different regions polyneuropathy - 22.4%, diabetic retinopathy 14%, foot syndrome 13.6%, arterial hypertension 13.6% coronary heart (CHD) 14.4%. Only 1.8% diagnosed diabetes, latent manifestations mellitus, one four people Kazakhstan can be sick, 38% adults aged 20-79 suffer from prediabetes, 8.2% diabetes.
