ABSTRACT
Alienation is a psychological state in which teacher feels and develops relatively loss of relationship with others.First foremost, the present study, it was found that standardized Scale by Hardeo Ojha constructed year 2010 appropriate measuring alienation general social context for adults above twenty one years age required few modifications to cater specifically terms secondary school teachers led further developing validating scale on teachers.The psychometric properties were explored.The study assessed level dimension-wise two hundred teaching Punjab (India).The made reliable valid using Content validity, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Cronbach's alpha, Average Variance Extracted, Composite Reliability.The reliability statistics alpha greater than 0.80 overall (α=.878), isolation (α=0.892),work (α=0.869) cultural estrangement (α=0.875) average variance extracted 0.40 composite 0.70 all factors.Therefore, validity analysis showed possesses adequate homogeneity internal consistency.Thus, can be considered measure teachers.Secondly, field testing applicability developed validated alienation, administered 500 objective conduct comparative its dimensions respect gender.The findings revealed no significant difference gender estrangement.Significant differences case work wherein female higher end comparison male teachers.
