Two Late Period Jars with a Hieratic Label from Giza (Turin S. 1954 and S. 1955)

The Museo Egizio in Turin holds numerous artefacts found at Giza during archaeological excavations conducted by Ernesto Schiaparelli February 1903. Among the material from Late Period, two clay vases stand out because they carry a hieratic inscription. They were most likely used as containers for remains of embalming process, stored one so-called “embalming caches” that are Period funerary contexts. Many vessels with and Demotic inscriptions have come to light Giza, Abusir, Saqqara Thebes, but none is published bears an inscription similar these vessels. aim this contribution draw attention objects their – so far unattested give researchers working on its context further study material. ملخص هذا البحث الموجز يسلط الضوء على آنيتين متواجدتين في المتحف المصري تورينو ويبرز عليها الكتابة الهيراطيقية. وجدت أثناء الحفريات الأثرية التي أجراها إرنستو سكياباريللي الجيزة شباط/فبراير 1903، الأرجح من الموقع المسمى بـ "مخبأ التحنيط"، كان شائعاَ العصر المتأخر ضمن المباني الجنائزية. ظهرت العديد الأواني نقوش هيراطيقية والديموطيقية وابو صير وسقارة وطيبة، ولكن لا يوجد نقش مماثل لنقوش هاتين الآنيتين.
