ABSTRACT
Background . Obesity is a significant social problem among the population of world. The leptin gene (LEP) currently considered as potential candidate influencing metabolic disorders associated with predisposition to overweight and obesity. Leptin plays an important role in body weight homeostasis by food intake energy expenditure maintaining constant stores. A defect may be one causes obesity and, result, various obesity-associated pathologies. aim study To search for single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) adolescents different status. Methods involved 20 aged 11–17 years normal overweight/obesity. Research methods: assessment clinical status anthropometry; Sanger sequencing fragment localized intron this – (5’-AGCCTTGTTTTCATCATCTGGA, 3’-TGGGAGGAATCGCTCTCAGA). We also carried out bioinformatic processing results. Results As result study, optimal conditions amplification 891 bps region were selected above mentioned primer pair LEP (s16_L891, s16_R891). Based on results sequencing, 45 single nucleotide substitutions identified, including 23 which not previously registered GenBank. In group obesity, 14 unregistered 13 SNPs identified GenBank database. weight, these found.
