ABSTRACT
Background & aims: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and dysphoric disorder (PMDD) investigate association between symptoms dysmenorrhea among college students in Mongolia. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional design was used examine 593 women attending School Nursing at Mongolian National University Medical Science. final sample 572 questionnaires for data analysis. In addition collecting demographic characteristics, we Premenstrual Symptoms Questionnaire (PSQ) measure degree severity symptoms. Data were analyzed using statistics, Fisher's exact test, Cochran-Armitage trend test. Results: The findings showed that moderate severe PMS PMDD 23.8% 4.7%, respectively. most frequent "fatigue or lack energy" (86.7%), "anger irritability" (80.9%), "tearfulness" (76.2%), "difficulty concentrating" (75.3%), "anxiety tension" (73.4%). statistically significant found PMS/PMDD. Conclusion: rate female comparably higher than other countries, while comparable both Western Asian participants.
