ABSTRACT
Forecasting models were developed for predicting Aedes aegypti larval indices in an endemic area dengue (cities of Tartagal and Orán, northwestern Argentina), based on the Breteau House environmental variables considered with without time lags. Descriptive first each city index by multiple linear regressions, followed a regional model including both cities together. Finally, two forecasting (FRM) evaluated. FRM2 fit data significantly better than FRM1. An evaluation these showed higher correlation FRM1 (R = 0.83 0.62 3 months; R 0.86 0.67 45 days) 0.85 0.79 0.74 days). Early warning can assist health authorities to improve vector control.
