ABSTRACT
This paper presents an experimental study of rice husk ash-cement-based soil for layers in roadway construction. Rice ash (RHA) used this is a by-product milling. In work, twelve proportion mixes were with varying quantities RHA (0-30%), and Portland cement blended amounts 4, 6, 8%. The specimens prepared by the Proctor mould method, conditioned at room temperature, tested soaked unsoaked conditions. Specified curing periods 7, 14, 28 days applied all types specimens. Some engineering tests carried out, such as proctor compaction, unconfined compressive strength, splitting tensile stiffness stabilized soil. Test results indicated general decrease maximum dry density (MDD) increased optimum moisture content (OMC) increase content. Adding significantly improved geotechnical properties soils, including elastic modulus. addition, combination 80% 20% 6% can be proportion, which satisfied grade 3 soils inorganic adhesive substances, chemical agents, or reinforced road construction, current Vietnamese standard.
