ABSTRACT
Introduction: Vancomycin (VAN) is an antibiotic used to treat serious infections. Its use related adverse effects such as acute facial hyperemia, nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity. By having a very narrow therapeutic range, its monitoring necessary maximize efficiency minimize toxic effects. It estimated that concentration in CSF approximately 10% of the plasma level patients who receive intravenous treatment have meninges inflammation. Plasma concentrations VAN are not reliable indicator those present CSF. The aim this study was validate immunological method based on kinetic interaction microparticles solution (KIMS) for determination Materials Methods: KIMS validated evaluation For this, parameters linearity, precision, accuracy, limit detection, quantification, interference, selectivity specificity were determined. Results: linear range between 0 15 µg/mL, CV% obtained oscillated 0.7 2.5% range. LOD LOQ 0.4 µg/mL 1.4 respectively. equation line correlation methods HPLC-UV y = 0.9151x + 1.1695, R² 0.9453. Conclusion: demonstrated adequate sensitivity determine being useful tool complicated infections at CNS level.
