ABSTRACT
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality across the globe.According to World Health Organization estimates, 65 million people have moderate severe COPD.It has been responsible for changing diseases spectrum spanning continents.Epidemiological data suggest genetics be one those factors, as COPD known aggregate in families with stronger correlation between parents children or siblings than spouses.Twin segregation studies provide evidence that genetic predisposition plays role had indicated background composed several genes small effects, rather single gene.
