The distribution of the cortical origin of the corticoreticular pathway in the human brain: A diffusion tensor imaging study

We investigated the distribution of cortical origin corticoreticular pathway (CRP) in human brain. Forty normal subjects were recruited and CRPs from four areas reconstructed. The first area CRP was premotor cortex next primary motor cortex. Although fibers also originated somatosensory prefrontal cortex, they occupied smallest portion among regions interest.
