ABSTRACT
Background and purpose Postoperative C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in serum appear to reflect surgical trauma. We examined CRP after 4 types of arthroplasty.Material methods investigated 102 patients who had total knee arthroplasty (TKA), computer navigation-assisted (NAV-TKA), hip resurfacing (metal on metal, MMSA) (THA), respectively. were estimated before surgery postoperatively at 2 7 days. Results Postoperatively, the peak highest second day each groups. The CPR lower than those conventional primary THA. TKA TKA.Interpretation extent bone marrow injury rather region or amount soft tissue damage appears determine postoperative response.
