ABSTRACT
This study aimed to confirm the factorial structure of Polish Weight Self-Stigma Questionnaire (WSSQ) and test structural validity, internal consistency measurement invariance questionnaire across gender, Body Mass Index (BMI) other psychological measures. The sample was recruited from general population (N=1055), age 18–55. Participants completed WSSQ, Yale Food Addiction Scale (YFAS 2.0), Emotional Eating Restrained subscales Dutch Behavior (DEBQ), Depression, Anxiety Stress – 21 (DASS-21) sociodemographic survey. The WSSQ showed good overlap with original in two-factor model (Self-devaluation Fear Enacted Stigma). Factor loadings were satisfactory both consistency. Measurement revealed gender differences score. construct validity confirmed strong correlations emotional eating food addiction. As expected, total score moderately positively associated depression stress severity. weakest for retrained body mass index. is a valid reliable tool assessment weight-related self-stigma among patients overweight/obesity. Future studies should investigate as well test-retest reliability longitudinal invariance. Finally, information be taken into account when interpreting results.
