Creating Diverse and Inclusive Scientific Practices for Research Datasets and Dissemination

ABSTRACT
Diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI) are important for scientific innovation progress. This widespread recognition has resulted in numerous initiatives enhancing DEI recent years. Although progress been made to address gender racial disparities, there remains be biases that limit the opportunities historically underrepresented individuals succeed academia. As members of Organization Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) Diversity Inclusivity committee (DIC), we identified most challenging imminent obstacles towards improving practices broader neuroimaging field. These include lack diversity accessibility publicly available datasets, barriers research dissemination, and/or related publishing. In order increase promote equity our endeavors, suggest potential solutions practical actionable overcome these barriers. We emphasize importance enduring unwavering commitment required advance consistently. By doing so, OHBM perhaps other neuroscience communities will strive a future is not only marked by excellence but also characterized diversity, equitable all including internationally.
