ABSTRACT
The current study contributes to the literature by assessing associations between personal values, explored with Schwartz`s Portrait Values Questionnaire, social media behaviors, assessed Bergen Scale of Social Media Addiction and Motivations Use psychological well-being Patient Health Questionnaire-4, in a sample first-year medical students. We examined students’ values profiles perceived influence on self-aspects. All participants (N=151) were Romanian English module students, young (average age=19.2, SD=1.5) female majority (68,9%). Pearson coefficient correlation analyses performed verify main four clusters (Self Transcendence, Self Enhancement, Openness change Conservationism) behaviors wellbeing. most frequent cluster was Self-Transcendence (M=5.21) while least Self-Enhancement(M=4.05). There no significant addiction, wellbeing specific perception self-aspects influenced included involvement community problems, creativity for group (R=.24;.22, p<.05), tolerance towards sexual minorities self-evaluation Transcendence (R=.24;.21;.42, p<.05) Conservationism Enhancement groups didn`t report any change. Our findings highlight need awareness education students general population field Digital Ethics including complex impact as AI-algorithms may imply potential destabilization perpetual shaping one`s behavior still unpredictable individual societal effects.
