ABSTRACT
Background: Total knee arthroplasty is the most cost effective and rapidly evolving technique. The success of procedure relies on appropriate sizing tibial component, for which elaborate information various dimensions upper surface tibia mandatory. Hence, this study aiming to generate baseline data antero-posterior transverse measurements medial lateral condyles intercondylar area tibia. Methods: was conducted in 42 dry human cadaveric with unidentified age sex, Department Anatomy, College Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Chitwan. were recorded millimeter (mm) digital Vernier calipers. analysed using SPSS version 16.0. Results: condyle 43.00±5.95 mm 25.21±8.08 respectively right side 45.33±5.36 27.43±8.57 left that 37.94±5.64 25.21±8.71 41.03±3.65 27.06±8.83 side. 47.49±6.31 15.71±3.93 49.24±6.91 15.02±3.88 variation between showed significant difference only measurement (p<0.05). Conclusions: generates regarding anthropometric tibia, will assist orthopedic surgeon create a resected bony identical component an implant unilateral total arthroplasty.
