ABSTRACT
Choroid plexus tumors are rare neoplasms that typically found in the lateral ventricles. They have infrequently been reported third ventricle, and treatment strategies varied. The authors described a 6-month-old patient who presented with irritability hypotonia. The was to large tumor ventricle obstructive hydrocephalus. Preoperative angiography revealed feeding artery from right medial posterior choroidal (MPChA). effectively embolized, subsequently received open resection of tumor. Pathology features consistent atypical choroid papilloma (CPP).Choroid often hypervascular, which can make gross total (GTR) difficult. identifies vessels, embolization has potential decrease perioperative blood loss allow for higher GTR rate. Third ventricular CPPs appear invariably receive vascular supply MPChA, arising cerebral artery. Embolization followed by is an effective strategy.
