ABSTRACT
Occlusion of the unilateral P1 segment can result in bilateral paramedian thalamic infarction patients with anatomical variants artery arising from a single segment. Despite life-threatening presentation stroke, timely diagnosis is often challenging. The authors herein describe 3 treated endovascular intervention for occlusion wherein arteries arose. All were admitted to authors' emergency department sudden-onset coma and respiratory distress; however, initial computed tomography was unremarkable. suspicion basilar occlusion, vertebral carotid angiography revealed successfully intervention. Overall, 2 had favorable outcomes (modified Rankin scale [mRS] scores 0 1), whereas 1 patient, mRS score reached baseline 3.In variant segment, be life threatening; nevertheless, treatment effective. Carotid angiography, rather than magnetic resonance or useful immediate reliable relatively small vascular lesions.
